At the insistence of the Multnomah Bar Association's board of directors, Ryan Bounds late Tuesday night resigned as chair of the bar's equity, diversity and inclusion committee amid concerns about college opinion pieces he wrote while a student at Stanford University in the early 1990s. In the editorial, he mocked student ethnic groups and derided multiculturalism.
